The Nanaimo Canoe & Kayak Club (NCKC) is excited to offer its’ popular school field trip program to students in Grades 4-12, during May and June at Long Lake.
Join the Nanaimo Canoe and Kayak Club at Long Lake to experience FUNdamental paddling skills while using recreational canoes, kayaks and/or the Club’s Big Canoes (Voyageur, Dragon Boat).
The learning objectives include water, safety awareness, proper use of PFD’s, equipment care, basic paddling strokes, teamwork, environmental stewardship, boating safety, and exposure to a diverse sport that promotes Canada’s Sport for Life philosophy.
Starting date: May 16 – Morning or Afternoon Sessions at NCKC Boathouse at Loudon Park
Cost: $20/student – $10/teacher or parent volunteer per session

In addition to the School Field Trip Program, NCKC would be happy to offer Pro-D paddling workshops
for SD68 CUPE staff in the future as was done in the past.
