Join the Nanaimo Canoe & Kayak Club at Long Lake to experience FUNdamental paddling skills while using recreational canoes & kayaks and/or the Club’s Big Canoes (Voyageur & Dragon Boat). The learning objectives include water safety awareness, proper use of PFD’s & equipment care, basic paddling strokes, teamwork, environmental stewardship, boating safety, and exposure to a diverse sport that promotes Canada’s Sport for Life philosophy.
Build a memorable and fun year end program that works with your classroom goals. Book a single session to expose students to the local club and a new sport activity OR schedule weekly sessions as part of your regular delivery of physical education and/or outdoor recreation.
