Board and Governance

The Nanaimo Canoe and Kayak Club is a non-profit society governed by an elected volunteer Board of Directors and guided by the club’s constitution and bylawsThe Policy and Procedures manual is the operating manual of the club. It’s intended as a guide for the Board of Directors, staff and volunteers.

NCKC is a member club of Canoe Kayak Canada (CKC), Canoe Kayak BC (CKBC). As a member club of these organizations, we receive communication and administrative support through their central offices, as well as third party liability insurance coverage for sanctioned activities and events. Our memberships also enable individual members to compete in local, national and international events.

Board Meetings

The NCKC Board of Directors meets once every month at the Inn at Long Lake. All members are welcome to attend and participate.
