As a not-for-profit sport organization, we rely on committed, passionate community members to assist with the daily operations, governance on the board, equipment maintenance, special event hosting, website design, registration, newsletters, fundraising, sponsorship, and the list goes on. With many hands involved it makes for fun work!
Whether you are helping out with a regatta, maintaining our fleet of canoes and kayaks, or leading a group session on the water, all NCKC volunteers are required to go through the Safe Sport Course, provide screening documents, complete a police information check, and registration on this system.
WE APPRECIATE YOUR INTEREST AND YOUR VALUABLE TIME!
Club Members (Adults & Youths) are expected to contribute 5 volunteer hours per year.
Fundraising
Nanaimo Canoe & Kayak Club has a deposit account at the Bottle Return Centre on Hayes Street.
Any donation of your “Empties” is greatly appreciated.
